MSKPN (Musculoskeletal Partners Network) is proud to deliver two keynote sessions at the MSK Conference at Birmingham NEC that runs alongside Therapy Expo on 23-23 November 2023.

Claire Small, Chair of the MSKPN Quality Committee said: “MSKPN’s exciting programme focusses on raising standards, implementing outcome measures and demonstrating the valuable and innovative work that independent MSK practitioners are delivering.”

In session 1 entitled Proving Our Value (22 Nov 14.15-15.45), Nicola Graham, MSKPN Board Director and MD of Tops Health, will debate why proving value is essential in both the NHS and Independent sectors. Then MSKPN members, Simon Lack of Pure Sports Medicine and Lucy Goldby of Balance Physio will discuss the MSKPN outcomes project. This will be followed by Peter Watson of First Contact Physio who will talk about how, having helped drive the changes in the Optical and Veterinary marketplace for over 35 years, he recognised and anticipated similar developments in the MSK industry. He describes what MSK healthcare needs to do to prove its value, looking at lessons from other industries.

In session 2 we look at Lessons from the Coalface – what can we learn from independent practitioners (23 Nov 10.30-12.00). Claire Small, Chief Clinical Officer of Pure Sports Medicine      and Chair of the MSKPN Quality Committee will explore her 20 years of experience working in an MDT setting. We will then hear from Natasha Price, MSKPN Board Director and MD of Central Health, and another MSKPN member, who will take us through their views on working in a customer service industry, asking how clinicians working in MSK healthcare balance giving patients what they want with delivering evidence informed care. This will be followed by a panel discussion involving several MSKPN members covering current topics around delivering high value and financially sound care.

Simon Devane, MSKPN Chair and CEO Pure Sports Medicine added: “During these challenging economic times, whatever the size of your organisation, our combined commercial know how, experience and informal peer mentorship can uniquely support you and your business. We’re proud to have developed an engaging and interactive community of business owners and negotiated a range of exclusive member discounts to deliver commercial benefit and enable businesses to thrive”.

MSKPN is pleased to be joined on the stand by Cemplicity, a leading Patient-Reported Measures (PRM) company, who will discuss the power of automating patient outcomes and their work with MSKPN on establishing a group PRM system. Validated measures can provide clinicians with deeper insights into the quality of their practice, and payers with an objective marker of effective outcomes.

Come and see us at our stand TF49, just near the poster zone and MSK keynote theatre where you can speak to MSKPN Board Directors and members and find out more about the benefits of joining MSKPN. Alternatively email us on enquiries@mskpn.co.uk
